Tepee Takoda

Tepee Takoda (friend to everyone) is 9m in diameter and can be reserved for both glamping as for hosting workshops. The teepee is surrounded by nature, not far from an old Roman well and a small waterfall.

Here you can experience nature in its entirety as if you step back in time but with the desired comfort. For glamping use (luxury camping) the tepee is fully and tastefully furnished as a luxury hotel room with a real starry night. Lovely beds and crisp sheets. Romantic for two, for a family with kids or friends who like to be in nature. Shower and toilet facilities are in the vicinity of the tent. The area offers several lounge areas where you can read, rest or meditate. Here you will find no mass tourism, but a heavenly place where you can unwind. No WIFI in the forrest (we have other connections) Nearby the orange valley there is a great outdoor kitchen with your own refrigirator, which you can use to prepare your meals. (WIFI area)

If you prefer to let yourself be pampered, you can do so in one of the many restaurants of Grandola, Porto Covo, Setubal or Millesfontes. We have a great shared pool, a 2,5 hour hike and a Buddha garden to relax.
During the mid and low seasons, at a designated spot near the tent, there is an opportunity to make an open fire while you enjoy the beautiful starry sky and the serene tranquillity.

It is a great place to visit the 8 beaches: Comporta, Melides, Carvalhal, Porto Covo, Pego, Aberta Nova, Santo Andre and Praia de Gale. Or surround yourself with birdsounds and enjoy & relax for a massage, facial or bodywrap in nature of the estate. Once a week you can attend in the middle of rural Alentejo landscape our wellknowned 'Olival das Hortas' pizzanight together with our chef and his natural build oven.

Sightseeing Visit UNESCO world heritage best preserved Middleages Roman city Evora, Julias Ceasars historic Beja and later on 400 year Morish bastion or lively Lissabon (1.15 carminutes drive). For the kids it's great to book a dolphin boattrip at Setubal, visit the nearby safaripark or ride together the oceanwaves with an instructor in Carvalhal or Sines. Grandola has several nice restaurants, terraces, bars and even a cafe to watch sports.

On your arrival you will be welcomed with refreshments, a great Alentejano bottle of wine in your teepee and your host will share all the secret places to complete your holiday.

Rent this teepee to host a workshop in low season? The tepee is also ideal for hosting your workshop. Yoga, shamanic retreats or incentives. During a workshop about 21 people can sleep in a tepee. It is also possible that the participants bring their own tents and place these in the immediate area so that the tepee may be used exclusively as a workshop space. For large workshops, there is also the possibility to make use of a second tepee of the same size. Thus, one can rent two tepees, one for hosting the workshop and the other as a sleeping facility.

Grândola is a small town with a rich history. The Carnation Revolution (April 25, 1974) started here, "... throughout this day the radio broadcasts the song, Grândola Vila Morena. This song was the secret sign that launched the revolution ....".

The town has a thriving center with cozy shopping streets and small squares. Many typical shops are still to be found here. It has a small park, cafes and restaurants with terraces where you can enjoy fine wines and good food. The area offers a varied selection of culinary facilities, from simple to profound, there is something for everyone. And of course, there are several good supermarkets nearby.

Monthly (every 2nd Monday of the month) there is a large authentic market. In the center there is an internet cafe where you can make free use of their services.

Take a day trip to Lisbon, Setubal, Evora or Bela. Very worthwhile.
